Description
SUGAR RUSH

Sugar rush is a solo performance on public space exploring obsession, consumerism and consumption within a context of the household.

To point at those concepts, candies are used as nuclear object, on the side of laundry soap, yoga ball, brushes and whips, to mention few. As representation of a capitalist pill, the candies and their packaging become installation when placed and replaced in compositions throughout the public pavement.
This durational work unveils throughout interactions with the audience, obsessive building of detailed (micro) installations, destruction, chaos and continuous rearrangement of the surroundings. Without the use of language, the communication with the viewer happens through the manoeuvre of the objects. The displacement of the actions and installations, builds an awkward and uncanny atmosphere, teased by moments of humour and sarcasm.
A playful deterritorialized sequence of actions that brings to the public sphere the artistic process of creating in space.
